All employers with 15 or more employees (including interns) must complete harassment prevention training.
All employees, both full-time & part-time must complete harassment prevention training.
Training must be completed within 90 days of initial hire.
Training is to be renewed annually.
While California, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, & New York, have passed laws requiring sexual harassment training, other federal and state laws, have made it clear that all employers should provide anti-harassment training to all employees in all states.
Many other states, like Florida, Colorado, Michigan, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Utah, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, and Vermont, have laws that “encourage” employers to provide such training.
If you do not train your staff and a lawsuit arises, the first question any court will ask is how well you’ve trained your team. Invest in your culture so that you never get to that point.
Arrow is not currently selling certified courses for these states. However, we will soon, so sign up for our email list and get notified when we roll out the new courses.
